NewRiver continues its partnership with mental health charity Chasing the Stigma
NewRiver continues its partnership with the mental health charity Chasing the Stigma,
the creators of the Hub of Hope. This collaboration aims to create a society where there
is no longer a stigma associated with mental health, where people are as comfortable
talking about their mental health as their physical health, and where everyone is able to
find appropriate support before they reach a point of crisis.
The Hub of Hope is the UK’s most comprehensive mental health support signposting
tool, listing more than 14,000 services nationwide. It enables users to find local and
national support for a range of needs, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and PTSD,
as well as underlying causes such as loneliness, financial concerns, abuse, or addiction.
The app and website currently serve an average of 30,000 users per month, directing
them to life-saving support.
The two organisations continue to work together to promote the Hub of Hope to
NewRiver’s visitors. This will be achieved through poster sites, digital advertising boards,
social media integration, and by embedding the app directly into shopping centre
websites.

The Hub of Hope can be accessed via QR codes on posters and digital boards
throughout NewRiver centres, or directly at www.hubofhope.co.uk. The app is also
available for free on the App Store and Google Play.
For those in immediate distress, the Hub of Hope features a ‘Get Urgent Help’ button
that connects users directly to 24/7 crisis lines. The platform remains free for both users
and the services registered within it.
